We are very proud to announce that the Somerset Region Business Alliance has been awarded a $100,000 grant to provide advisory services to primary producers and local small businesses affected by the floods...more

The Somerset Region Business Alliance has played a leading role in the flood recovery process. The successful outcome of our application is testimony to the hard work our committee has devoted to this project during the past 6 weeks.

The funding was made under the Australian Government’s Small Business Advisory Services Natural Disaster program to help local businesses hit by the recent natural disasters. If your business was affected by the flood, whether directly (eg property damage) or indirectly (eg loss of income) and you would like more information, please click here to apply.

Mission Statement
The Somerset Region Business Alliance aims to create a better business environment in the Somerset Region by providing an effective forum for all local businesses to network with each other, by promoting the interests of the business community to government and policy makers, and by facilitating communication with the wider community about the range of products and services available from local businesses. More info about the work of the SRBA during 2011.
Why do we need a Business Alliance in Somerset Region?
At present, the local business community has very little influence over the big issues that affect us, but by joining together we can improve the wealth creation environment in our region for everyone - we can make the Somerset Region a better place to do business for all.
Who will benefit?
Whether you are a home based business, a trades person, a primary producer, an agri-business, a builder, a tourism operator, a high street retailer or a manufacturer, there will be something in it for you. Check out our full Mission Statement for more information.
How will my business benefit?

  • Regular News & Information relevant to local businesses
  • Regular Networking Events and Conferences
