The Somerset Region Business Alliance has played a leading role in the flood recovery process. The successful outcome of our application is testimony to the hard work our committee has devoted to this project during the past 6 weeks.
The funding was made under the Australian Government’s Small Business Advisory Services Natural Disaster program to help local businesses hit by the recent natural disasters. If your business was affected by the flood, whether directly (eg property damage) or indirectly (eg loss of income) and you would like more information, please click here to apply.

| Flood Hero |
| We congratulate our Senior Vice President and Communications co-ordinator, Paul Heymans. He was awarded a Queensland Flood Hero medal by Premier Anna Bligh for his work in maintaining an information network for the community when nearly all other communications systems had failed during the 2011 floods. He was nominated by the community. |
| Mission Statement |
| The Somerset Region Business Alliance aims to create a better business environment in the Somerset Region by providing an effective forum for all local businesses to network with each other, by promoting the interests of the business community to government and policy makers, and by facilitating communication with the wider community about the range of products and services available from local businesses.
