The Australian Early Warning Network (EWN)

We are only about half way through the cyclone season, our dams are full and the ground is well saturated. It might be prudent to be forewarned in case of another flood event.

The Australian Early Warning Network has been Alerting the community about impending severe weather via SMS, email and landline since 2007.

The EWN provides emergency alerts covering everything from tsunamis through to severe weather. EWN monitors and tracks potentially dangerous weather systems and uses the network to alert people directly in the path of an event such as a thunderstorm with the potential for hail, flash flooding or damaging winds.
