Opportune Business Network is a full service organisation which specialises in assisting small to medium sized enterprise (SME’s). It has been in existence for more than 10 years and began its Queensland operations in early 2007. The organisation is made up of two main units being:

- A specialist consulting unit providing business strategy, planning and growth services to all sectors of industry.
- The networking, mentoring and business matchmaking unit now involved in direct assistance to businesses in need of recovery and rebuilding.

Opportune Business Network (OBN) will help the SRBA in the delivery of its services to those businesses damaged by the recent Queensland disasters. OBN will use its experience and expertise to help owners get their business back on track with the aid of the generous assistance as provided by AusIndustry. Our organisation has been regularly working with Queensland business owners and is conscious of the extent of the damage to businesses, homes and families and has played a part in the effort to obtain funding.

Colin Coverdale is a Director of the Opportune group and is an experienced and fully qualified business consultant. He is a Certified Management Consultant, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and a Member of the Institute of Management Consultants Australia. He has personally assisted some 2000 small businesses since 2004 both here and in the UK, Canada, NZ and Australia. He welcomes the opportunity to help those in need at this time. Born a Queenslander, Colin’s permanent residence is now located in Parkwood on the Gold Coast. |

Deborah Ribinskas is a Director of the Opportune Business Network and the key driver of the networking, mentoring and matchmaking services offered by the company. She is also a founding Director of the Business Enterprise Centre Ipswich Region and an experienced small business owner in her own right. She has lived in the Somerset Region for many years and is familiar with the needs of the community. Over the past 6 months she has delivered assistance to many of the businesses throughout the valley and acted as a liaison person between owners and the Government agencies involved in disaster recovery. |
